Residential Properties in Vancouver

With the increasing cost of land in Vancouver, we wondered how many new houses are constructed each year, compared to condominiums. 

We’ve plotted the data on two graphs, the first one showing each property type (house or condominium unit) as a percentage of total home ownership in Vancouver. The second graph shows the total number of homes and total number of condominoum units.

We started looking at the numbers from year 2000, and it’s interesting to see when condo ownership outpaced home ownership in the city!
